It looks like the Yoga Journal Conference in San Francisco is becoming an annual event. This is the first time there will be back-to-back SF conferences in 2004 and 2005. I hope the trend continues.
The slate of teachers for the conference is quite impressive. If you decide to attend this conference, I recommend registering online. When you register online, you get to choose sessions knowing which ones are full and which ones are still available. If you mail in the registration, you are asked to choose three options for each session without knowing for certain which option you will actually be signed up for until you receive your registration confirmation in the mail.
Regardless of how you sign up, I do recommend registering early. The most popular classes typically fill up fast. I'm already registered and confirmed for classes with Rodney Yee, Sarah Powers, Rod Stryker, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Aadil Palkhivala.
Financially, I realize this conference is not cheap. However, there is a $250 option for just one day rather than $390 for both days of the main conference. There are also a limited number of work exchange volunteer opportunities. Work exchange volunteers do not register for classes, but will be able to participate in classes on a space-available basis when not fulfilling their assigned duties.
